Marketing Assistant - Cape Town

SUMMARY:
Our Client, a national leader in their technical industry is looking to add a Marketing Assistant to their team

POSITION INFO:
Job Specification
Checking voicemails, emails, and social media inquiries for company accounts and answering them
Handling technical questions and pricing
Knowledge of various pumps
Forwarding messages to appropriate members of the team when necessary
Update and operate online Marketplaces we are active in with commercial awareness
Answer technical sales calls when the Internal Sales Staff phones are busy
Assist with any aspect of marketing, from writing copy to organizing and working at events (trade shows) and communicating with clients, team members and suppliers (photographers, printers, seo specialists)
Assist with marketing material request from clients and update when needed
Travel and see customers on a local and national basis
Create social media content on behalf of the company in due course
Working to support the marketing manager
Help with the creation of content consistent with the brand and campaign messaging i.t.o newsletters, website enquiries and Google Reviews
 
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, sales or a related field will be considered
Must have own car with drivers licence – will be expected to travel
Technical knowledge of various types of pumps
Administrative experience
Computer proficiency
Communication, organizational, and time management skills
Customer service/sales skills
The ability to work well with others
Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
To be thorough and pay attention to detail
Good understanding of office management and marketing principles
Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, marketing computer software and online applications
CRM tools, Online analytics, Google Adwords etc., photoshop and CoralDraw will be beneficial
Online Webstore experience highly beneficial
