Assistant to the Head of Marketing: The marketing assistant will need to support the work of the Head of Marketing and projects directed at maximising company profits and developing sales strategies or marketing campaigns. The role will be a critical factor for the smooth operation of the marketing department and the attainment of its goals, as well as for the long-term growth of the company. An energetic approach to the tasks at hand and the ability to communicate clearly at a high level is vital.

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS

• Essential: Microsoft Office 365, PowerPoint, Excel
• Matric
• Diploma or Degree in Marketing
• Essential: 3 – 5 Experience in the management of a promotional grid
• Beneficial: Experience in the use of a scanning data analysis tool such as IRI or Insight
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience in an FMCG environment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ

• Assist in the execution of the marketing plan
• Analysis of sales data to deliver insights to the sales team
• Product range management – specification collation, gap analysis to drive sales
• Point of sale management to maximise ROI
• Assistance in compilation of sales aid collateral to assist sales teams
• Strong skills to manage promotional grid execution in an FMCG environment
• Daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
• Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.)
• Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and
