POSITION INFO:
The Ideal Candidate
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience in a production/process management role
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing orders
- Ability to use common machine measuring equipment
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Process management
- Knowledge of quality systems and principles
Our Clients Generally Recruit for Candidates with the following experience:
- Ensuring that plant machines are running efficiently
- Managing the team Leader on shift to ensure that production targets are met.
- Ensuring that health and safety standards are maintained.
- Enforcing discipline among your staff i.e. no extended lunch times, no idling during work.
- Compiling a Preferred Supplier List per Category per Region which is updated annually
- Production planning and staff management
- Ensuring that housekeeping standards are adhered to
- Ensuring that all health and safety issues, near misses, to be reported to the Production Foreman
- Ensuring the right product, at right quantity and quality is timeously delivered to our customers
Qualifications
Must have matric – non neg!
Tertiary Qualification in Operations/Production/Manufacturing/Process Management – or similar
Trade test - advantageous
