Manager: Fund Accountant

SUMMARY:
Join our Cape Town team as a Fund Accounting Manager in the employee benefits sector. In this role, you'll oversee the entire accounting function of our funds, ensuring accurate reporting and regulatory compliance.

POSITION INFO:

Review and approve banking transactions
Manage cash flow and forecast fund requirements
Oversee system controls and procedures
Prepare fund accounts and ensure compliance
Liaise with investment managers and brokers
Handle SARS submissions and audits
Coordinate fund valuations and compliance
Prepare management reports and budgets
Ensure customer and SLA adherence
Assist team with accounting issues
Develop and lead a high-performing team

Skills & Experience:
Proficient in Excel, including V-Lookup and pivot functions
Completed FICA awareness training
Minimum 4 years of experience in employee benefits or retirement fund administration, preferably in a similar role
Strong knowledge of pension fund legislation, particularly Section 13A, regulations, and guidelines
Experience with Everest software is advantageous
 
Qualification:
Undergraduate degree or Retirement Fund qualification
