Manager Financial Planning & Analysis: Casino & Events Management

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibility

Manage business intelligence and Financial Planning & Analysis activities by providing analytical support to operations and senior management, as well as making recommendations regarding key financial, operating and marketing issues and to take a lead role on key strategic projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor of Commerce or similar relevant equivalent qualification
• 3years experience in a similar role
• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of the other Microsoft applications.
• Project Management skills and experience.
• Management experience including Team Leadership
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with peers and Senior Management
• Substantial analytical experience in a planning and/or finance environment.
• Strong background in financial planning, operational analyses and computer systems knowledge.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of competitor threats.

• Ability to work autonomously, demonstrating initiative and an understanding of business priorities.

Main Duties include:

• Design, manage and deliver regular analysis covering all key business areas.
• Provide regular insight to senior management on current business performance and any deviations from expectation.
• Identify trends and report on all KPI’s including market share analysis
• Critically evaluate financial forecast accuracy and proactively identify areas of risk or opportunity.
• Provide cleaner analysis for investment appraisal purposes including the use of NPV and DCF calculations.
• Analysis of labour metrics, providing key insights into potential under/over staffing issues.
• Provide training to cross functional personnel and peers on financial analysis.
• Act as business partner to HOD’s
• Assist with the completion of the annual operating budget and capital expenditure plan.
• Ensure compliance with existing and established company internal control standards, policies and procedures pertaining to planning and analysis activities.
