Manager: Cash Management and Accounts Payable (4 Months Contract)

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounts payable and cash management functions including mentoring, coaching and upskilling of team members
• Setting the tone for the functions and ensuring morale is maintained at a high level and that business processes flow smoothly
• Ensure that daily accounts payable related payment requests and loan disbursements are processed and that documentation is checked and circulated to Cash Management timeously 
• Follow up on any payment proposals that may be rejected and provide guidance to correction
• Monitor level of accounts payable and cash management queries from both within and outside the company and ensure that they are cleared timeously
• Ensure that administrators maintain an appropriate document flow including timeous processing and provide guidance where they may need any
• Review daily cash status position timeously and authorise surplus or shortfall for action by the Corporate Treasury department
• Review MS Teams payment channels daily to ensure that completed Electronic Funds
• Transfer (EFT) have been appropriately checked and authorised
• Assist in the processing of any urgent/unplanned payments as and when they arise – including engaging signatories and assisting with input into additional funding required if applicable

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualification and Experience

• Finance related degree (e.g. BCom)
• Completed articles will be an advantage
• Money Market instruments & processes
• Cash flow computation & planning
• Team management experience
• Detailed exposure to complex accounts payable reconciliations
• Understanding of the principles of internal controls applied to the particular areas of responsibility
• Working knowledge of Value Added Tax
• 2 years practical commercial experience after articles in a similar working environment SAP & Microsoft Teams
