Global Market Leader in the high-performance steel industry who deliver customized customer-specific solutions seek a Manager CCM/Section Head CCM from the steel industry to assist SMS HOD in all technical areas related to CCM to ensure smooth plant operations are carried out in a timely manner to achieve corporate goals in association with IF/EAF/LF.
Graduate/Diploma in Metallurgical/ Mechanical/Production engineering. Minimum 10-15 Years in a Steel Plant at CCM with a mill producing steel or a minimum of 20 years as a Casting Plant Supervisor.
Accountabilities:
Actively involved in streamlining operations and managing the production without compromising on quality
Provide Technical support on productivity improvements and troubleshooting casting deficiencies. Follow-up on casting improvements and audit processes and practices to ensure repeatability
Setting & Monitoring of Casting Parameters, Monitoring of Casting quality, Co-ordination with Electrical & Mechanical maintenance teams for smooth running
Supports and gets involved in the problem-solving process and facilitates specific needs of vibration data collection as required
Inspection of CCM consumable in stores & control inventory of same in Dept. stores. • Documentation of CCM, Manpower handling & manpower allocation.
Schedule the future department activity as per day Melting Program
Dispatching of finished goods to Rolling Mill, LM to CCM yield @ 99%
Works to ensure conformance to Rolling Mill/External Customer satisfaction
Directly work with CCM standard-setting boards, and other standard-setting bodies to ensure that they are aware of and give due consideration to issues
Develop suppliers CCM spares and consumables to minimize lead times and optimize stock aimed at optimizing production cost
Develops work instruction and operational standards and ensures that all employees within the section adhere to the work instructions to guarantee a quality job.
To build and ensure the availability of a motivated workforce to carry out the activities of the CCM section. Maintains an optimum organization structure for CCM Section to ensure the maximum utilization of resources,
To impart knowledge-building training to subordinates so that overall growth of the section is ensured.
Helps in building safety-related work instructions and ensures that all safety features in the section are working. Implements company policy for enforcing safety regulations clean and free of any obstacles/ encumbrances to subordinates
Develop suppliers CCM spares and consumables to minimize lead times and optimize stock aimed at optimizing production cost
The decision for resolving any critical technical/logistic problem related to the CCM section
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
To coordinate training for trainees
To participate in company meetings and seminars to share and exchange knowledge.
To plan and coordinate with Procurement to develop potential suppliers for the tools and consumables required for the CCM Plant to support uninterrupted availability to production
Interactions:
Shift Crews – For Smooth Functioning of department
Another Section In charges – To fine-tune CCM process in order to achieve requires a target of Production and Quality along with safety
Supplier and Experts – To stable the CCM Process
Skills and Knowledge:
