POSITION INFO:

Position : Manager Accounting Department

Reporting to : General Manager Dubai Accounting Department

Contribute to the accounting division at the Johannesburg Branch, which comprises three staff members, as well as handle the accounting for the Maputo Branch and two subsidiary companies.

Possess knowledge and take responsibility and accountability for performing the following tasks under the supervision of the General Manager:

Accounting:
• Responsible for all financial procedures related to the target units, including the preparation of accounts, financial planning, and budgeting.
• Report budget variances and implement cost control and cost analysis programs.
• Design suitable financial systems.

Tax:
• Perform tax computations and handle queries from SARS.
• Check tax assessments.
• Verify VAT returns.
• Provide tax advisors with requested information for transfer pricing.
• Prepare SARS Country by Country reporting for the branch and subsidiaries annually.

Finance:
• Liaise with bankers regarding annual facilities.
• Ensure compliance with Reserve Bank Regulations and Exchange Control.
• Sell surplus foreign currency.
• Manage cash flow for the Maputo Branch.

Others:
• Prepare reports as required.
• Provide management accounting to relevant persons or parties.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as needed.

Minimum required Qualifications
Degree / Experience
• Appropriate Degree – B.Com.
• Professional qualification or certificate holder such as CA and/or CMA is required.
• Min 5 years of working experience in Accounting

Specific Knowledge / skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Logical thinking
• Team work spirit (reporting/communication skills)
• Appropriate level of mathematics
• IT skills (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

Location/travel
• Availability to travel internationally if deemed necessary
Grade : Grade 3+ (Senior Manager)
Salary scale : 5 - 8 years' relevant experience: R60,000 – R74,000
More than 8 years' accounting experience: R78,000 – R95,000

***The above mentioned is Base Salary amounts which exclude Benefits such as:
• Car Allowance
• 50% Medical Aid contribution paid by the Company
• 7% Pension Fund Contribution paid by the Company
• Commuting Allowance of R2,066 pm
