SUMMARY:
One of the worlds leading logistics and financing, through development of major international infrastructure and other projects is currently looking to hire a Manager Accounting with the following skills & experience:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Contribute to the accounting division in the Johannesburg Branch who have 3 members of staff in addition to the accounting for the Maputo Branch and the accounting for 2 subsidiary companies.
Have a knowledge and take responsibility and accountability to conduct below tasks under supervision of General Manager:
Accounting:

SAP and Pastel – have previous experience in working in these programs
Reviewing journals for 2 branches and 2 subsidiaries.
Managing monthly closing of 2 branches
Preparation and submission of Forecasts & Comparison reports to the managements
Preparation of Annual Financial Statements and co-ordination of audits for 2 branches & answer queries from the auditors

Tax:

Tax computations and dealing with queries from SARS.
Checking of tax assessments
Verify VAT returns
Transfer Pricing - provide tax advisors with requested information
SARS Country by Country reporting for the branch and the subsidiaries annually

Finance:

Liaison with bankers regarding annual facilities
Reserve Bank Regulations – Exchange Control compliance
Selling of surplus foreign currency
Cashflow management for Maputo Branch

Others:

Reporting where required
Management accounting to persons/parties concerned
Other ad hoc duties

Qualifications & Experience:

Appropriate Degree – B. Com
Professional qualification or certificate holder is preferrable
Minimum 5 years of working experience in Accounting
