Manager Academic Support Services

SUMMARY:
A well-established education group is seeking an Academic Support Services Manager. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work under pressure and handle high volumes of work.

R25 000 basic pm  | Start ASAP | Permanent | Office based in Centurion 

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12
• Education and/or Management qualification
• 5 years relevant experience
• Computer literate
• Fluent in English and preferably Afrikaans
• Be willing to travel during the practical assessment processes
• Availability to work overtime when required
• Be able to operate in a very diverse environment.

• Assessment Accommodations and exemptions for learners with barriers to learning
• Presenting assessment events
• Registration of assessment service providers (Assessors and invigilators)
• Create internal policy in line with DBE and examination board policy for approval
• Keep updated and familiar with Examination Board and National Education Policies
• Design and structure a sound effective process to manage the Accommodation and Exemption process according to internal and external (SACAI and DBE) policy
• Coordination and directing of the assessment accommodation process
• Coordinate and control the presentation of practical assessment events throughout South Africa
• Maintain management information to allow sound and informed management decisions in this regard
• Highlight risk areas with alternatives to allow the management team to support you with sound decisions
• Liaising with subject specialist(s) and assessment development team to be able to manage the registration of assessors efficiently
• Conduct training, implement, evaluate, and improve processes continually
• Recruit, supervise and manage dedicated personnel (Full time and temp) according to the requirements
• Measure performance and establish continuous training programs within your section as well as other client facing sections
