POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

ØRelevant Degree - B Com/ Cost Management / Management Accounting is essential.

ØCA (SA) or CIMA preferable.

Ø3 or more years’ related work experience.

ØComplex manufacturing experience.

ØVarious Costing model understanding.

Ø

Duties & Responsibilities:

ØResponsible for preparation of Management Accounts.

ØActivity based costing, standard costing, cost control, analysis (margin / costs / productivity).

ØResponsible for the provision of an analytical and advisory function to line management.

ØResponsible for the implementation of financial analysis, control and reporting processes.

ØPrepares, examines, and analyses accounting records relating to manufacturing including inventory, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

ØDevelops, maintains, and analyses budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs relating to Manufacturing.

ØProvides assistance to manufacturing relating to unresolved queries.

ØPrepares and processes Cost of Sales and revenue transactions (journals).

ØResponsible for reconciliation of relevant accounts to the general ledger (manufacturing related including inventory).

ØEnsures reconciliation of the fixed asset register to the general ledger.

ØFixed assets management.

ØInventory and warehouse management including analysis of inventory movement.

ØWIP monitoring and analysis.

ØSupervision of staff in the Finance department.

ØEnsures timely and complete month end and year end accounts closure process is performed in accordance with departmental policies and procedures and statutory requirements.

ØAccurate costing model to determine recommended list price.

ØDivisional income Statements reporting for management accounting purposes.

ØActive business partnership role for guidance and support.
