JOB DESCRIPTION:

Leader in the field of precision mechanical manufacturing seeks to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Management Accountant at their premises near Cape Town. You will manage the full financial function and communicate financial results to management as well as assist in developing and implementing financial policies and practices.

For the position you would be required to have:

  • B. Com/ B. Compt in Management Accounting
  • Around 6 years' management accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical skills w.r.t. IFRS
  • Knowledge of ERP systems

Responsibilities would include you to:

  • Timeous reporting of the results to key stakeholders
  • Review and monitor Debtors, Creditors, Cost of sales.
  • Report back on Departmental Expenses vs Budgets and Inventory.
  • Prepare, upload, and maintain annual budgets in SAP
  • Liquidity Management: Daily report on actual balance of accounts
  • Review and analyse manufacturing cost: overheads, labour and materials in line with standard costing
  • Ensure that internal capex forms are completed for all additions and documentation kept in order.
  • Maintain asset register on ERP system
  • Maintain asset register on Inventory.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team
  • SAP Queries and investigations
  • Finalising TB together with GL recons
  • Tax queries and calculations including deferred taxation
  • Financial Audit and queries, liaising with auditors
  • Employee Welfare (leave calculations, training discussions)
  • Releasing payments and loading salaries
  • Management Review preparations and meetings
  • Ensure continuous development on accounting standards
  • Monthly forecasting of profit and loss (EBIT)

 

On offer is a remuneration package of around R650k per annum.
