POSITION INFO:

Our Client a Global tech firm is seeking a Management Accountant to join their team in Sandton on a contract basis for 3 to 6 months. They offer competitive rates, stability and an excellent working environment.

As a Management Accountant, you''ll manage the financial records of our business. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance and accounting across the business including budgeting, forecasting and reporting. You will also ensure that we comply with local laws and regulations as well as company policies.

Requirements

• Develop financial reports such as stockholders, profit and loss statement, balance sheet, expenditure and receivable account, journal voucher report etc
• This is responsible for financial reporting in the company e.g. preparing the monthly management accounts.
• Preparing and generating the annual and semi-annual financial statements in accordance with the generally accepted accounting practice and applicable government regulations.
• Participate in planning and organizing accounting activities for a company.
• Assist others with the organization and conduct of accounting procedures.
• Organize all accounting activities.
• Implement accounting software programs.
• Prepares all journals of accounts.
• Calculates and posts entries to journal of accounts.
• Accurately maintains the general ledger of accounts at all times.
• Compiles and reviews invoices and bills.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year in accounting/auditing experience preferred.
• Comfortable with a client service and proactive approach to account management.
• Strong attention to detail, thorough understanding of financial concepts and procedures, effective communication skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Three years of experience in accounting, budgeting and/or forecasting preferred.
• Strong analytical skills required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with management and business partners regarding financial issues.
