Are you an immediately available Management Accountant with experience in the insurance space? If yes, then this role at a reputable insurance concern, as a Management Accountant is perfect for you!

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Management Accountant will be responsible for compiling and analyzing the scheme management accounts or partners and to report on those management accounts. The Management Accountant will be responsible for managing the budget process, posting journals and assisting with monthly reconciliations. The Management Accountant will also be responsible for the analysis of divisional expense variance reports.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• BCom Honors in Accounting

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 3-5 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry is preferred
• At least 2 years’ experience in insurance accounting is preferred
• Knowledge of systems and controls, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Technical insurance of accounting, financial and management accounting,
• Sound knowledge and understanding of IFRS
• Knowledge of accounting packages and systems and controls
• Knowledge of line of business systems and their integration into the accounting system
