EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Computer Literate

BTech or ND Mechanical Eng or equivalent

Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science or Equivalent

Unendorsed Drivers Licence with own transport

SA Citizens only

Must be Criminal Clear

Must be willing to work shifts (Including night shifts), standby and overtime

Duties;

Repairs and Maintenance – Factory

Ensure monthly inspections are done on all equipment.

Monthly inspections must be recorded on the monthly maintenance checklist registers and signed off by the Factory Manager.

Record maintenance inspections on inspection log sheet and report on.

Manage and control forklift repairs and services.

Motors and machines must be serviced at required service intervals to ensure minimum breakdowns

Preventative maintenance must be done as per the maintenance schedule or as required on all equipment and machinery in the factory to minimize breakdowns and production down time.

Repairs on breakdown of equipment must be timeously executed.

Assist the Production manager with Projects in the Factory and in some cases lead projects of a technical nature.

Repairs and Maintenance – Admin and Building

All requests for repairs must be dealt with timeously.

All requests must be logged in the repairs and maintenance log book as well as completion date and times.

Housekeeping and OHS

Ensure work areas are cleaned once repairs and/or maintenance jobs are completed.

Ensure housekeeping is maintained at all times.

Ensure the correct personal protective equipment is worn at all times and especially when dangerous equipment or tools are being used.

Storeroom (Tools)

Ensure the tools are cleaned after use.

Ensure the production storeroom is presentable at all times.

Monitor and control consumables used for repairs and maintenance as well as tool requirements

Security

Responsible for the overall security of the site (includes alarm system, cameras and electrified fencing).
