Maintenance Technician (FMCG) - Queensburgh

SUMMARY:
A Maintenance Technician is required in Queensburgh. The ideal candidate must be a trade tested Millwright and have experience working in an FMCG environment.

POSITION INFO:

REQUIREMENTS

Trade tested Millwright
Computer literate (MS Office, ELKE)
Create a safe and efficient working environment
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and public holidays when required (Utility shutdowns take place on Sundays once a month and it is required for this position to be present)
Must be willing to do standby duty

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Exercise control over workmanship of Artisans
Increase machine availability
Ensure modifications comply with standards
Maintain and repair instrumentation, process control equipment and automation systems
Optimize control systems regarding processes and production lines
Provide technical and specialist support

- Assemble, install, test and maintain any mechanical and electrical equipment
Inspect and test equipment as per prescribed ELKE schedule
Determine causes of failures (fault finding)
Ensure that all process control software is backed up and kept up to date
Perform preventative maintenance

- Assist with maintenance administration
Compile standby lists
Complete job cards and update records on ELKE
