SUMMARY:
Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Maintenance Technician, to join their team in Boksburg, Gauteng.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Maintenance Technician
Industry: Manufacturing Industry
Location: Boksburg, Gauteng
Salary: Market-Related Salary

Qualifications and Experience:

Fitter and Turner Trade Test.
6 years maintenance experience in the Manufacturing Industry.
Ability to interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagrams.
5 years welding equipment and methods (Arc, CO2, gas and gas cutting).
Setting welding machines for proper use (Stig AC & DC).
Knowledge of gas cutting techniques.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work in and building a team.
Ability to work under pressure.
Results driven

Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair and maintain machinery, equipment, and plant facilities to full working condition.
Perform checks to ensure repair / work is effective and safe before handing machinery and equipment back to operations.
Perform fitting and turning duties and responsibilities as per maintenance requirements and relevant specifications.
Enforce and adhere to 5S and general housekeeping procedures.
Continuous development and keeping up to date with new technologies, implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles / methodologies.
Minimise and or eliminate equipment downtime to achieve company targets.
Maintain and support safety standards as defined in the OHS Act as well as the Company Health and Safety policy.
To be on standby and available for callouts as and when required.
