Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry has an opportunity available for a Maintenance Technician to be based in the Allanridge, Free State area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Full N2 related subjects or 10 years'' experience as an artisan.
• Recognized Diesel, Earth moving Mechanic trade test certificate.
• Or Electrical/Millwright/Auto Electrical trade test certificate coupled with Hydraulic course and 2 applicable machine specific training with 5 years trackless experience
• Or Boilermaker/Fitter trade certificate coupled with basic Electro Hydraulic course and at least 2 applicable machine specific training with 5 years trackless experience
• Valid First aid certificate
• Valid code 8 driver''s licence and own transport
• Means of being contacted by the mine after hours when required
• Valid medical certificate of fitness for underground or be to obtain one
• Ability to pass conveyor belt riding
• Previous experience of current diesel mechanical equipment in use
• Previous related mining experience
• Basic General Standard and Procedural knowledge

Responsibilities:

• Safe and effective installation and maintenance of mechanical
• equipment and machinery.
• Perform specialized diesel and hydraulic related work on trackless machinery.
• Routine maintenance and repairs.
• Do standby and work overtime on weekends where necessary
• Expected to work continuous cycle and rotating shifts where necessary.
