Maintenance Supervisor - Production Manufacturing

• Grade 12; Relevant Trade or Tertiary Qualification Artisan
• Experience leading a team (min 2 years)
• The individual must have worked in a Production / Manufacturing environment
• Own Transport – reside in Vereeniging / Vanderbijlpark areas
• Candidates who are available immediately will take preference

Skills And Knowledge:

ü  Artisan experience in a manufacturing and production facility

ü  2 years minimum supervising a team

ü  Must be hands on and be excellent in root cause analysis

ü  Display strong problem solving and decision-making skills

ü  Solid understanding of Health & Safety Regulations and Practices

ü  Fantastic organizational and leadership skills

ü  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

ü  Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines

ü  Computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related communication tools

ü  Great time management skills; Great eye for detail

Duties:

• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work, scheduling and planning of job cards – record keeping and statistics for future planning for maintenance and spares requirements
  • Coordinates the installation, maintenance and repair work in the facility, allocate work as per forecasted workloads
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and test all equipment and assign employees to various projects
    • Manage a team of artisans, technicians and operators whom regularly inspect the site to identify problems and conduct necessary maintenance - execute work as necessary,
    • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and supervise and train workers where required
    • Oversee all equipment and repairs to ensure that work is completed on time
    • Report any faults in equipment or production immediately to the Maintenance Manager
    • Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices of the plant
    • Conduct preventative maintenance work & Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work; Conduct safety inspections as scheduled
    • Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time
    • Ensure business continuity and prevent any operational bottlenecks associated with managing day-to-day maintenance operations
