SUMMARY:
Engineering / manufacturing company in the Boksburg area seeking a Maintenance Supervisor.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Ensure that scheduled pre-use checklist for the generator and compressors are completed and signed off.
Preparing weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work to team members.
Attending daily production meetings and providing insights and feedback from maintenance department and give back feedback to team members.
Draw a maintenance plan for all working equipment.
Generate a monthly budget for the maintenance department and unsure that costs are kept within the budget.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the company and with suppliers.
Respond quickly and competently to calls from filling lines and blending plants.
Perform routine maintenance on all plant equipment to ensure optimal machine efficiency and equipment availability for production
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogues, as necessary.
Record type and cost of maintenance of repair work on the Job cards and signing off/monitoring Job cards from team members.
Performs corrective maintenance on plant equipment and process systems such as parts replacement, equipment changes and cleaning of tanks
Maintain up-to-date and accurate manuals and reference guides, records and logs of operating conditions of equipment and maintenance work performed by entering data on a computer for tracking repairs and maintenance of completed work orders.
Maintain repairs parts and supply inventory.
Make recommendations with supporting information that evaluates the cost effectiveness of repair versus replacement
Drive the research on the equipment required for new products that are constantly being introduced by the company.
Ensure that all equipment is shut down before end of each shift.
Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean, safe condition.
Ensure that there is always handover on the agreed platform for the incoming shift.
Observe all safety, and quality procedures while completing required tasks.
