POSITION INFO:

Our successful Maintenance Supervisors …

·  Effectively supervise and quality assurance of Building maintenance and repair functions of the complex (incl. plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical), ensuring staffs work is of a high quality standard and completed on time.

·  Must be a self-starter (take initiative), and be able to effectively manage his/her own time.

·  Efficiently order and control departmental consumables stock, tools, materials & spares.

·  Research new products and technology to effectively reduce costs, downtime and improve productivity.

·  Ensure employees, buildings and equipment meet the relevant safety requirements in terms of the OHS Act and any other relevant regulations.

·  Responsible for leading, supervision, morale building and take corrective action (when required) within the maintenance team.

·  Must be able to compile shift rosters, and do changes, as and when needed.

·  Drive the corporate culture and values across the maintenance department.

·  Willing to do standby for emergencies, and roster coverage

·  Asset, tools, inspections, record keeping and stock control

·  Must be able to effectively communicate freely with suppliers, contractors

·  Proactively approach to verbal and written communication internally and externally.

·  Must be able to effectively do internal and external staff work Planning, Organizing and Monitoring from call logging system.

If you have these qualifications, join our team: Matric (NQF 4); Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance qualification; Qualified Electrician; Valid Wireman’s License (IE); good practical supervisory skills and at least five years’ experience in maintenance. Previous shift work will be an advantage.
