Maintenance Shift Artisan: Electrician

SUMMARY:
New role is available for our client in the Automotive industry, seeking a Maintenance Shift Artisan - Electrician. The role will be based in Gqeberha.

POSITION INFO:
The company is seeking an energetic, competent, and motivated individual to fill the role of Shift Artisan. This position requires strong electrical and mechanical skills to effectively support plant operations and maintenance activities.

Key Performance Areas

• Carry out maintenance activities within the manufacturing plant
• Troubleshoot equipment or process malfunctions to identify causes and implement solutions
• Complete 5-Why analyses for every breakdown
• Liaise with Shift Coordinators to support breakdown resolution and preventative maintenance tasks
• Accurately capture maintenance and production data on MP2 and the OEE Haldan System
• Perform additional maintenance-related tasks as assigned by the Superintendent

Qualifications

• Relevant technical skills and a tertiary qualification
• Qualified Red Seal Electrician with a minimum of 2 years post-trade test experience (essential)
• Red Seal Industrial Electrician qualification (advantageous)
• Understanding of Quality Management Systems

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years post-trade test maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (essential)
• At least 3 years of the experience must be in manufacturing
• Advantageous experience with:
  
  • Fanuc and Siemens equipment
  • Siepe conveyor systems
  • PLC-controlled systems
  • CNC machines
  • VDH machines
  • Strapping & wrapping systems
  • Low pressure casting machines
  • X-ray machines
  • GnK punches
  • Eisenmann heat treatment machines
  • Wet Paint Plant and Powder Plant operations
