SUMMARY:
Large Residential Estate with a multitude of service providers seeks the skillset of an experienced Maintenance Manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Skills Required:

Min 7 years at a Managerial/Supervisory level
Understanding of STSMA
Oversee painting, plumbing, building, roofing, civils
Understanding of electrical
Maintenance of vehicles and equipment
Financial awareness
Ability to operate within allocated budgets
Adhere to order procedures, comparative quotes, stock control
Seek correct authorizations before ordering
Exercise cost-saving (resources, working, procedures, etc.)

Responsibilities:

Organise, delegate and supervise maintenance jobs with regards to the Estate – and in line with the maintenance plan to the standard of work required and within the budget
Work with the assistance of a maintenance supervisor with aspects of maintenance
Attend to breakdowns after hours and at weekends
Overall Maintenance of the common property, buildings, waterways, swimming pools, club house, pumps, sewerage system, grey water system
Preventive maintenance program adhered to and in place
Plan, organize, assign and review work of maintenance staff
Oversee projects and operations
Monitor maintenance stores usage of supplies and reorders as needed
Track workshop supply inventory and approve supply orders, stock control
Assist in the preparation of department budgets and expenses
Maintain staff confidentiality
Administration skills
Health and Safety
