Maintenance Manager

Main Purpose of the position:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance at the Packstation and Production Departments. They are also responsible for project planning and execution and the caretaking of the fleet.Â

Key Responsibilities Areas:

• Planning the maintenance and preventive maintenance inside and outside the Production and Packstation and handle all breakdowns.
• A key role player in the Food Safety Regulations of the Packstation.
• Ensure that all vehicles are in 100 % work condition and roadworthy as well as neat in appearance.
• Ordering and control of diesel, oil spares, and equipment.
• Responsible for spares and lubricant stock keeping.
• Reducing downtime in the Pack station and Production Department.
• Assist in any other related breakdowns of the other departments when necessary.
• Housekeeping of yard and workshop.
• Planning and costing of projects
• Weekly monthly feedback reporting
• Layer production supporting responsibility and standby
• Managing of maintenance team (training, discipline, time and attendance, work planning)
• Responsible for the Health and Safety of the Maintenance department and ensuring compliance
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own transport to and from work

General Competencies, Experience, Education:

• 2-3 years of vehicle and building maintenance experience.
• 1-2 years Junior to Middle Management experience.
• Grade 12 or any other related training /education in the maintenance, project planning field.
• Proven experience in Handyman/ DIY tasks. (plumbing, building, boiler making, mechanical)
• Project management, prioritizing, fault finding, and reporting thereof experience.
• Administrative and computer skills (word, excel, email)
• Experience in Poultry Farming maintenance/Food processing plants will be an advantage.
• Electrical qualification will be an advantage
