Food manufacturing giant seeks a Maintenance Manager for the factory in Selby Johannesburg.

***MUST COME FROM A FOOD MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT***

A Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
Any tertiary qualification preferably with electrical and mechanical subjects
Food safety and HACCP training
A valid driver’s license

Three to five years‘ management experience in the food manufacturing industry

Key Competencies

A high level of numeracy

Computer literate with experience of the basic MS Office suite

A working knowledge of ISO 22000, the Occupational Health & Safety Act, budgeting and cost-saving initiatives

An ability to manage staff, work activities and resources

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
A high stress tolerance
The ability to take the initiative
Knowledge of production processes, quality control and sensitive to production costs

Responsibilities:

Candidate will be responsible for planned factory and building maintenance and ensuring that breakdowns are attended to speedily at our sites in Johannesburg and Durban. It is anticipated that 70% of the candidate’s duties will be allocated to the site in Johannesburg and 30% to Durban. Travelling between the two cities are expected.

The candidate must be able to work independently in a structured manner and be able to plan to meet strict deadlines timeously.
