Maintenance Foreman - Control & Instrumentation

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Agricultural sector, has an opportunity available for a Maintenance Foreman - Control and Instrumentation in the Dalton, KZN area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Matric with Maths and Science
• National Trade Test or National Diploma or N6 in Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering
• 6-8 years’ experience of which at least 3 years must be in a supervisory capacity (Sugar Milling Experience would be an advantage)
• Basic programming and troubleshooting of DCS systems, experience with Simatics PCS7 will be an advantage.
• Extensive experience using planned maintenance systems, especially Maximo
• Knowledge of Pi Historian would be an advantage.
• Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of networking and hardware support.
• Must have a valid driver’s license

KPAs:

• Supervise maintenance employees in the Control & Instrumentation discipline to achieve maximum plant availability and equipment capacity
• Adhere to and promote SHERQ & Food Safety standards
• Together with the teams, achieve shift, daily, weekly, monthly and off-crop shutdown targets ensuring that tasks are prioritised and planned in a logical, systematic and cost effective way to optimise profitability
• Monitor standards for setting, operating and maintaining equipment and ensure instructions are adhered to
• Ensure continuous improvement by implementing functional best practices and conducting physical inspections
