SUMMARY:
Our client within the dairy Industry is looking for a Maintenance Foreman

POSITION INFO:

Job Specification

Provide an effective day to day service to all departments

Co-ordinating and leading all engineering resources to allow total optimisation of all assets and efficient utilisation of man-hours

Strategy Implementation and monitoring of compliance

Analysing needs and product requirements to create a design

Ability to lead the team towards high performance

Drive, monitor, and report on the KPI’s for the assets and engineering functions

Monitor and analyse KPI trends

Continuous Improvement best practices are consistently promoted amongst all staff 

Manage and ensure that all relevant information is captured on the maintenance systems and administration completed

Plan and control all tactical and non-tactical maintenance activities

Ensure effective utilisation of Man Power

Effective control and Management of subordinates

Monitor and maintain health and safety status

Contractors are managed and coordinate to ensure service delivery

Develop a structured process to implement and optimise a Maintenance program

Manage and control engineering spares and materials

Develop a structured process to establish and manage workshop facilities and tools

Apply budget management procedures to monitor departmental expenses

Create an environment conducive to effective teamwork and innovation

Setup effective teams and ensure review of the performance of the teams

Identifies risks and takes calculated risks

Minimum Requirements

Matric or Equivelant

N6 Electrical

Generic Management Diploma 

3-5years in supervisory capacity within the engineering functions of a manufacturing company 

Engineering and technology

Computers and electronics

Mathematics

Design, physics, Language, and literacy

Administration and management

Customer services

Public safety and security

Personnel and human resources practices

Project management

Ability to lead people

Complex problem solving

Active learning

Long term planning

Judgment and decision making
