Maintenance Foreman

SUMMARY:
This position is based in the power generation department reporting to the Manager of the department.

POSITION INFO:

The position calls for an experienced maintenance foreman with the ability to work effectively and meet the following requirements:

• Minimum N6 in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical fitting.
• Minimum 10 years heavy industrial experience in heavy engineering as supervisor/foreman.
• Sound experience in maintenance management, planning and budgeting.
• Agri industry experience within the power generation section will be advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in reliability, preventive & predictive maintenance.
• Maintenance and operating knowledge of boiler equipment will be advantageous.
• Sound experience in maintenance management, planning and budgeting.
• Good interpersonal skills and good labour relations practices.
• Computer literate and conversant with planned maintenance systems.

Key Result Areas:

• Manage the Power Generation Maintenance Workshop to ensure plant availability.
• Effective maintenance of mechanical equipment in good engineering maintenance standards and within budget.
• Develops and maintains performance controls to ensure achievement of department''s
• objectives.
• Monitors daily performance figures to ensure machinery is operating at optimum efficiency.
• Carries out special tests to identify sources of inefficiency.
• Investigates any recurring faults and rectifies
