Maintenance Fitter / Welder

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Maintenance Fitter / Welder for a permanent vacancy based 70km outside of East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• 2+ years’ experience in fitting / welding, trade test as a Fitter would be advantageous
• Must be willing to travel to site daily (70km out of EL) via supplied transport, or alternatively be prepared to live on site (single person would therefore be most suited), and able to work on weekends when required
• Must be able to lead a staff complement of 5 and able to understand drawings
• Must be competent in working with pumps, gearboxes and blowers and handle Arc, Mig and Tig welding

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Fabrication and repairs to all stainless steel and mild steel equipment by method of MIG, TIG And Arc welding
• Daily, weekly and monthly mechanical maintenance as per the companies preventative maintenance program and schedule
• Maintenance and repairs to all pumps, blowers, gearboxes, valves and mechanical equipment
• Repairs to water and air lines, changing valves and couplings
• Assist less skilled workers in general maintenance
• Completion of job cards for work done
• General fault finding

Salary: R20 000.00 – R25 000.00 per month
