SUMMARY:
Maintenance Fitter - Pietermaritzburg

POSITION INFO:

Requirements

Qualified artisan
5 years plus post apprenticeship experience
Good communication skills – both written and oral
Be a team player and upskill the maintenance team
Good knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics with some electronic and electrical experience
Provide technical support
Ability to work on your own, have analytical skills including fault finding and problem solving
Be able to read drawings and create sketches for fabrication projects
Have knowledge of preventative and curative maintenance and carry out all maintenance requests timeously
Be conversant with and competent in the use of hand tools such as grinders, drilling machines, etc.
Be conversant with and understand all relevant health and safety requirements
Carry out all reasonable duties, be willing to work overtime when required and attend to call outs as necessary
