Our client, a prestigious food manufacturing company seeks to employ a trade tested Red Seal Electrician, to join their maintenance team, on a shift basis.

Please note that only trade tested Electricians, who has completed a full 4 year apprenticeship, and who has worked in the food and beverage or packaging industry will be considered.

You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company.

• You will have completed a recognised trade test as electrician, coupled with 3-5 years maintenance experience within the food and beverage manufacturing sector.
• You will have proven fault finding skills on automated and conventional high speed manufacturing machinery and equipment, coupled with sound experience in managing breakdowns, prioritizing repairs and scheduling preventative maintenance
• You will have working knowledge on the installation and commissioning of new equipment, as well as the refurbishment and upgrading of existing equipment to stay up to date with technology
• You must have good administration abilities in order to write reports on problems during a shift and be proactive in sourcing parts and components for breakdowns and preventative maintenance across several manufacturing plants
• The ability to work shifts and attend to call outs is essential
• You must have a valid driver’s license, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
