Maintenance Coordinator Rotables

SUMMARY:

Our client, a reputable mining company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to coordinate the rotable repair process through the maintenance of the rotable items master data, coordination of the repair process for timeous delivery and quality of repairs and maintenance and optimisation of rotable items stock levels.

POSITION INFO:

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

• Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
• Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.).
• Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox).
• Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status.

CUSTOMERS

• Ensure Customer Satisfaction (Both at DCR and TCS).
• Train and coach new users on the rotables process flow, SLA''s and requirements.

BUSINESS PROCESSES

Rotables Management:

• Issue and receive rotables
• Decide if an internal or external repair is required
• Order new item if damaged item and subsequent notification is not received within agreed time
• Verify if rotable repair is on contract or not
• For contract, attach full bill of quantities to order and select lines from full bill of quantities, transport rotable to strip and quote vendor
• For non-contract item, arrange RFQ at strip and quote vendor and provide itemised quotation
• Compare quotes and select preferred vendor
• Dispose of items received that are not tagged
• Scan relevant quotes, link to PR and update PR to accepted quote
• Decide to repair or replace
• Accept non-repairable rotable item
• Repair item to Scope of Work
• Attend and verify at witness points and perform visual acceptance checks
• Verify parts replaced regularly using a random sample
• Complete and attach rotables "Repaired" tag
• Create and execute the spares preservation plan
• Monitor rotables progress and expedite urgent rotables
• Monitor rotables stock
• Record rotables Contractor non-conformance
• Maintain and optimise rotable item stock levels and availability
• Update and maintain rotable item Master Data:

• Warranties,
• BOM''s,
• Equipment masters,
• Repair history,
• Location,
• Cost

• Do standby duties as and when required
• Work overtime as and when necessary
