SUMMARY:
To ensure that all equipment/Assets in the designated plant operate in an optimized condition, plan,

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To ensure that all equipment/Assets in the designated plantoperate in an optimized condition, plan, perform and control of the maintenance function of the designated plant.

 

Responsibilities:

  • PM Jobs are collected form the board daily
  • A minimum of 90% of the PM schedules are complied with daily
  • PM tasks are completed in order of priority and according to production down time planned out
  • Inspections on the PM’s are carried out and deviations is identified and rectified on PM job cards
  • Task list improvements are noted on the PM and list on actions needed
  • All work orders are collected daily to allow for planning
  • PM Schedules and work orders are combined where possible to eliminate duplication of work on same equipment
  • Pre-assessment on breakdowns are conducted to ensure parts, tools and the equipment needed for the repair is available in time.
  • Targeted work orders are completed according to standards on a daily basis
  • Work orders unable to complete is recorded, carried forward and clearly communicated to all relevant role players
  • Unsafe equipment and situations are identified, work request is issued
  • Operating staff is coached and guided to ensue safe operating of equipment and awareness of health and safety
  • Accidents are investigated and recorded and relevant documentation is completed, processed and forwarded to relevant role players
  • Corrective action is taken on accident investigations
  • Contribute to continuously take corrective action with unsafe conditions in the factory
  • Identify and describe risks in area of responsibility and ensure risk are rated and documented on risk register
  • Takes calculated risks with minor, but non-trivial, consequences of error (e.g., risks involving potential loss of some time or money but which can be rectified).
  • Makes basic decisions based on risk analysis and participate to possible actions required to implement mitigation plans
  • Participate in implementation of actions required to mitigate the risks factors indentified

Requirements:

  • N3 Level plus trade test (electrical)
  • Introduction training as per company standards
  • Full competence within this role would typically be developed over a period of 2 years in a food manufacturing environment.
