POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Trade Tested Electrician
• Matric/ Senior Certificate
• 3-5 years’ experience in the FMCG Industry
• Health & Medically Fit
• Clear Criminal Record
• Able to work under pressure
• Must be able to work shifts, overtime and be on standby
• Must have own transport.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills English & Afrikaans

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate a maintenance schedule for all factory equipment to ensure planned maintenance is properly carried out timeously in line with machine manufacturers’ recommendations.
• Carry out planned maintenance on all factory equipment adhering strictly to the maintenance schedule.
• Document all maintenance carried out to include date, work carried out, out work, cost and equipment name and number.
• On call 24 hours, 7 days per week including public holidays. For this purpose, your cell phone must be fully charged and turned on at all times. You must respond urgently to call outs in order to minimize production downtime.
• Ensure that all maintenance work is completed fully, any temporary fixes that maybe necessary from time to time must be fully fixed at the earliest possible opportunity.
• Knowledge, skills, and competencies: - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures that apply the mechanical infrastructure- Technical aptitude - able to fault find and repair breakdowns- Proficiency in root cause
• analysis and preventative action
• Ability to follow clear instructions follow a planned maintenance procedure
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
