Machinist

SUMMARY:
A laboratory equipment supplier/materials testing company based in Alberton urgently seeks a Machinist to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

• Matric
• Trade Tested: Fitter and Turner (Preferable)

Requirements

• Must have leadership qualities
• Fanuc control
• Must be a team player and get stucj in with the workforce when the pressure is on, even if it means pushing them out of their comfort zone
• Must be able to work overtime on short notice
• Must have worked on the old conventional machines without control

Duties

• Programming, setting and running CNC Lathes and Milling machines with Fanuc control
• Using conventional Lathes, Milling machines, Radial arm drills and other drilling machines
• Use of measuring equipment
• Machine shop problem solving
• Repairs to the above machines
• Setting up work colleauges to run basic tasks on the above conventional equipment
