Machine Operator

POSITION INFO:

Key responsibilities will include:

• Properly plan to efficiently perform planned size changes to minimize downtime
• Maximising production efficiency through accurate running of machine
• Ensure that proper size change procedures are followed
• Contact Supervisor if a setting problem cannot be resolved within the allocated time span
• Experience in non-woven materials converting a bonus
• Experience in extrusion, packaging manufacturing or related
• Complete relevant documentation on time and correct
• Assist with product packing as required
• General assistance in and around the plant as needed
• Deliveries on occasion
• Set up and running of Bailing Machinery
• Maintain, operate and care for a variety of machinery and equipment
• Capable of being trained in safety and committed to maintaining conforming to healthy and safe work practices
• Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair on machines (advantageous)
• Flexible with good time management skills while working well under pressure
• Must demonstrate interest and above average knowledge in mechanics

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

• Technical Matric required
• 1 - 3 years machine operation and maintenance experience
