Machine Learning Engineer - Manchester
A company are looking for a looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join the team in Manchester.
The Role
As part of the data team you''ll be the go to person on designing and developing Machine Learning products, as you work alongside Data Scientists and Data Analysts on complex projects with lots of moving parts.
You''ll be someone who can set processes and build frameworks, and not only cares about the wider team''s capabilities, but also develop your leadership skills and become a mentor for the junior members of the team.
This role is well suited to someone who appreciates what data scientists do on a daily basis, as well was what software engineers do and can bring them together in the best possible way.
Responsibilities:
- Taking lead across data science projects, and ensuring the development of machine learning products
- Building frameworks that are rapidly deployed and add value to the company
- Setting high standards of software development practices across the entire team
- Contribute to the planning and directing of data science projects
Requirements
- Strong experience in programming and best practice - ideally using Python
- Sound knowledge on building ML products and how to deploy them efficiently
- Understanding of cloud technology, ideally AWS, Amazon Sagemaker etc
- Strong experience across software development/Dev Ops practices such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
- Able to organise and prioritise workload, and work on a range of projects at any one time
