SUMMARY:
Are you a trade-tested Fitter or Fitter & Turner with a passion for building machinery from the ground up? This opportunity offers the chance to work on high-quality packaging machinery, from assembly and testing through to installation and commissioning both locally and internationally.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Assemble packaging machinery from engineering drawings and specifications
Conduct machine setup, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities
Perform fault-finding and mechanical adjustments during assembly and testing
Install and commission machinery at customer sites
Provide technical support and after-sales assistance when required
Conduct quality inspections throughout the build process
Support machine maintenance and improvement initiatives
Travel locally and internationally for installations and commissioning projects

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 7 years' experience building, testing, debugging, and installing machinery
Proven experience within a machine-building or manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong mechanical assembly and fault-finding skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Willingness to work overtime when required
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic fault-finding will be advantageous
TIG welding experience on stainless steel will be advantageous
Valid Code B driver's license

Qualification:

Trade Test: Fitter / Fitter & Turner / Boilermaker

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
