SUMMARY:
Are you passionate about the renewable energy and solar industry? Then look no further! Our client within the solar industry is looking for a MV Grid Engineer who will be responsible for MV designs within the Engineering & Construction teams.
POSITION INFO:
Complete detailed in-house MV designs ranging from but not limited to switchgear, protection, cable sizing, and transformer sizing
Assist with the interaction, managing and overseeing of the Utility interface with distribution and transmission system operators during the design and construction phases
Assist with general technical and engineering work, including regulatory reviews, project planning, grid connection costing, technical design, tender specifications and review, design reviews, and other aspects of renewable energy project developments
Have a good awareness and understanding of relevant codes, local and international standards, and design requirements
Review and comment on Cost Estimate Letters (CELs), Budget Quotes (BQs), and Connection Agreements
Display a problem-solving attitude and demonstrate innovative ways to resolve challenges (using technical, commercial, and interpersonal skills)
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years experience as an Electrical Engineer
Working on substations and grid-connected facilities
Qualification:
BTech/BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering
Pr Eng - ECSA Registered (beneficial)
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
