SUMMARY:
Our client in Cape Town is looking for an I.T. Savvy person. 

This person does not have to have a degree but, must have great knowledge when it comes to Microsoft Office products and Cloud Servers.

Some knowledge of Pastel will count in your favour

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation of PC Software – Server & Software updates
  • Configure and maintain Pastel software
  • Maintain local networks
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems – Knowledge of network support is beneficial.
  • Troubleshoot to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner – Technical support on Pastel software
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory
  • Maintain expenses
  • Monitor web performance, network availability – Cloud server support experience is beneficial.
  • Provide helpdesk support for network and Pastel issues

Experience & Skills:
  • Previous working experience as a support agent will be beneficial.
  • Problem solver and attention to detail – Important.  Go-getter. Independent thinker
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
  • Practical experience with Windows computer systems and networks
  • Valid Drivers license & own reliable transport.
  • Willingness to travel, use his/her car for work purposes. – Western Cape-based – Remote working options possible in future.
