Our client has a Millwright position available in Devland Johannesburg (Red Seal Compulsory) (with Refrigeration).
POSITION INFO:
MAIN PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB
To lead the Maintenance Team and ensure equipment is in good working order and that preventative maintenance is carried out to prevent breakdowns, mechanical and electrical and that equipment is performing at its optimum levels.

1. Manages repairs and maintenance
QUALITY REQUIREMENTS (STANDARDS)
o Sourcing correct maintenance spares
o Arranging with subcontractors to perform certain tasks on equipment that is still under warranty or require special repairs
o Ensure that routine and preventative maintenance is carried out on all equipment
o Ensure that routine and preventative maintenance is carried out on buildings and auxiliary services
o Ensuring that PMP schedules are followed as per frequencies
o Ensure that PMP schedules are completed and handed back for filing
o Ensure that all maintenance is carried out bearing in mind operator safety
o Ensure equipment and facility conforms with all food safety policy and procedures and the OHS act
o Testing equipment before handing back to operators.
2. Checks stock controls(stock control)
o Ensure that critical spares are available in the store
o Ensure that correct spares and parts are bought
o Ensure that spares and parts are fitted correctly.
3. Manages job cards
o Ensure job card system is operational
o Following up on each job card to ensure sign off and troubleshooting if not signed
o Updating the job card schedule for workshop records
4. Repairs and maintains Juice Dispensers
o Testing equipment to ensure it is clean and repaired according to standard
o Signing off on completed maintenance work
o Returning unsatisfactory jobs to the relevant workshop team member for troubleshooting
5. Attends to call outs after hours
o By taking team leaders calls
o Establish breakdown or purpose for callout
o Repair breakdown and test before leaving the premisses
6. Coordinates workshop housekeeping
o Communicating the housekeeping schedule to the relevant teams
o Monitoring housekeeping by completing onsite checks and proving feedback to responsible teams accordingly.
7. Leading a Workshop Team
o Managing resource allocation
o Assigning tasks and projects to team members or external services providers and reviewing progress as appropriate
o Assisting team members with daily planning
o Assisting in training of team members when it comes to new company processes, policies or equipment
o Participating in knowledge-sharing and problem solving one on one session with team members as required
o Identifying training opportunities for team members and learners as well as suitable training providers to meet training needs
o Listening effectively and encouraging the open expression of ideas and opinions within the Workshop Team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Training:
o On-the-job training
o Training also received from the machine providers.
Working Hours:
o Required to work 45 hours a week, which is 5 days and a half a week.
o Due to operational requirements & the nature of the business, you will be required to work overtime from time to time.
