POSITION INFO:
Our client in Mauritius, a large contractor/developer require an experienced MEP Coordinator for their Luxury Villa Developments in Mauritius, successful candidate will need to hold a Degree in Engineering / Electrical Engineering with between 3 to 5 years site experience.
Report to and assist the Senior MEP Coordinator and Site Manager in the daily operations of the Site.
Responsibilities/duties include:-
· Implementations / monitoring of all MEP work on site as per approved drawings, methods and safety, ensuring all activities are well planned and coordinated.
· Estimates, preparation and requests assignment of resources such as workforce, materials, consumables, equipment, tools required for all MEP and related works, before execution.
· Plans/analyse construction methodologies, recommends options to the Senior MEP Coordinator for construction approval
· Interpret drawings, contract documents, applicable standards/ specifications before commencement.
· Provide support to all Mechanical workgroups on site.
· Plan execution of MEP works and coordinates with Electrical and civil groups.
· Assign daily targets for MEP tasks on site.
· Responsible for the day-to-day coordination of all mechanical,
electrical, plumbing and fire installations
· Offer technical input on design cost and feasibility design team/consultant.
· Coordinate MEP activities, materials procurement and other activities with Site Manager and Site Team.
· Regular site inspections on subcontractor works, including quality checks.
· Schedule and witness all preliminary and final testing and commissioning at all stages of the works.
· Ensure budget and deadlines are adhered to
· Resolve technical issues on site
· Site safety compliance
