MECHATRONIC ENGINEER / ROBOT PROGRAMMER - Worcester - R24,000 - R26,000 per month
Seeking a skilled and energetic engineer to improve and manage the Robot Welding, Cutting, Milling, and Machining operations and procedures. The successful applicant is to be involved with continuous improvement of current projects as well as leading the robot programming team.
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Mechatronic/Mechanical/Electronic Engineering
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be analytical - The tendency to apply rules, work systematically, break the whole into subcomponents and identify interrelationships between components. Must be able to communicate these objectives to the team and establish a plan.
An affinity for the production environment and a love for continuous improvement
It is essential to be a fast learner and trainer, as mentoring will definitely form part of the responsibilities
Must have a good understanding of Project Management
Willing to work shifts (06:00 – 14:30 / 14:15 – 22:45). the shift is subject to change depending on operational requirements.
Must be able to work longer shifts if needed.
Experience with welding procedures is an advantage
Job description:
Set up, Program and improve new and existing machinery
Extract management data from existing programs and report to relevant department managers
Write and debug robotics programs
Investigate system, equipment, or product failures and escalate these problems when necessary
Compiling documentation such as SOP and maintenance procedures
Manage long term projects as well as day-to-day activities
R&D of new robot jigs and continuous improvement projects
