SUMMARY:
A leading renewable energy provider operating in South Africa for 11 years requires a creative Marketing Associate in Midrand, Johannesburg. The Marketing Associate will drive both internal and external marketing operational initiatives and provide overall excellent marketing support to the business. This is a half-day role with a view to grow into a full-time role. In the office three days a week, with two days working remotely.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Half day position – not looking for someone who works on retainers or for another company – must be dedicated to the company only – room to grow into a full day position as we grow.
This must be the candidate’s only working commitment and not consulting to other companies.
Preferably someone who understand our industry is a huge bonus
Duties will include:

Orchestrate all operational initiatives regarding the creation, management, activation, and measurement of content.
Collaborate with the team to identify a content approach that will offer the greatest value for the business.
Design and implement creative, efficient, and intuitive marketing strategies, both short and long-term.
Outline and execute all digital marketing campaigns on a range of media.
Suggest and implement direct marketing methods to increase profitability.
Improve and maintain a marketing and contact database.
Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness, and competition ventures.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 - 6 years' previous marketing experience
Marketing/digital media qualification
Creative mindset
Outstanding communication skills and a team player
Have worked with external marketing agencies before
Ideally, have a great interest in the renewable energy industry
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, clients, and customers
