SUMMARY:
Our Client , a dynamic blast monitoring and independent mining consulting firm within mining services industry, seeks the services of a correctly qualified and experienced candidate to assume the position of Manager â€“ Sales and Technical Support

POSITION INFO:

The successful candidate will be expected to diligently and professionally provide support to the company in rendering the following services to clients;

Blast induced noise and ground vibration monitoring using mobile and permanent seismographs, recording the results and providing technical reports to the mines after each blast and or per month.
Using drones to monitor the blasts for records and optimisation
Providing explosives responsible person services
Facilitating the supplier of bulk explosives and accessories to the mines
Providing mine survey services and general consulting

Key Role Function

Manage and train a team of Junior technicians
Prepare and sign off blast monitoring report
Ensure quality and timeous delivery of the reports and drone footages
Manage client relations
Design, manage and execute sales and marketing strategies

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Qualification Requirements;

Diploma in Mining Engineering or equivalent
Explosives Engineer’s certificate or Blasting certificate

Inherent Experience required;

At least 3 years Opencast/ Surface Blasting, ideally/including Coal Mining
Knowledge of drone and seismographs application will be an advantage
Technical Sales and marketing

Skills and Competencies:

Computer Literate with MS Office, Excel, Blasting Technology /system(s)
Strong sales aptitute
Ability to plan, organize and control
Ability to supervise and motivate colleagues and stakeholders
Problem solving ability
Report writing skills
Communication skills
Self-driven
Marketing and sales
