MAINTENANCE PLANNER (Injection Moulding - Automotive)- Rosslyn

A National Automotive component manufacturing concern is urgently looking to employ a competent Maintenance Planner. Experience in the automotive component industry is an essential requirement for the position and stable work record.

Qualifications

• N3/equivalent qualification or higher
• Qualified Trade Test as Millwright or Electrician
• 4 - 5 Years Post Trade & Experience as a Maintenance Planner with an Injection Moulding Automotive Component Manufacturing Company Essential
• Computer literate – proven experience working with maintenance systems
• Experience on a CMMS preferably SAP PM

Duties

• Provide a total cost estimate for the work to be performed: labour, material, and outside services.
• Actively participate in scheduling meeting with operation partners to finalize priority of work orders, optimum downtime windows, and necessary lead times.
• Issue scheduled work orders with job plan packets to Shift Managers
• Provide expertise in the Production facility to ensure the daily operations of this department to achieve the targets of safety, quality, on time delivery, cost and morale as set out by the company.
• Principle contact and liaison between the maintenance department and operation planning.
• Ensure high equipment availability and performance.
• Review all planned work request from assigned area and determine validity and accuracy of information and engage the appropriate resources to set a preliminary priority.
• Review work request for accuracy and clarity: clear scope of work, realistic completion date, proper lead times, correct equipment identification, proper authorization, and discuss details with originator of the work. 
• Review the work to be performed and determine the best way to accomplish the work.
• Consult with Supervisors, Originator, Production Supervisors, Planner and Stores  
• Work with Maintenance Manager, Shift Managers, Supervisors to determine resource availability and work to level the work force.
• Keep accurate metrics on the performance of planning and scheduling functions and provide timely reports to the Maintenance.
