POSITION INFO:

The key responsibilities of the position includes:

Ensure that repair maintenance is carried out and all mechanical presses and hydraulic installations are maintained as per manufacturers standards.
Planning to schedule , reporting, inspection and repairing is carried out.
Perform all relevant statutory checks as required.
Improve versatility, problem solving and troubleshooting on all equipment.
Able to mentor apprentices.

The ideal candidate will preferaby :

Be a qualified artisan , Millwright / Fitter & Turner coupled with 5 years industry experience.
Have sound knowledge of engineering and plant equipment , ie Compressors, Conveyors, Pumps, Forging Plant experience and Hydraulic Presses.
Hands-on individual
Must have a strong People Supervisory background
Be confident and assertive
Be willing to learn
Work overtime as required

Be able to work under immense pressure.
