JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, a niche manufacturing company seeks to employ a vibrant, high energy and competent Logistics and Purchasing Coordinator/Administrator, with experience in imports, exports and supplier management, for their operation in Milnerton.

Please note that this is not a senior warehouse, purchasing or logistics management role but rather a logistics, procurement and supply chain support role, dealing with supply chain administration and coordination within the manufacturing or FMCG sector

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company.

You will have completed Matric, coupled with a tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management or related field, with 3-5years experience in providing administrative support to the procurement and logistics/operations teams within the FMCG and/Manufacturing sector.
You will have gained experience in import and export documentation and process management, such as updating shipping schedules, monitoring shipping rates, liaising with clearing and forwarding agents, as well as having solid working experience in bond splits and container insurance management.
You will also have solid working experience in requesting pricing from suppliers, negotiating rates with suppliers and comparing supplier costing year to year.
You will be the professional link between the supplier, production and the customer, providing an effective and efficient service to all stakeholders
You will have advanced Excel skills, being able to create Pivot tables and formulas, as well as being able to extract data and provide analysis reports, in addition, you will have excellent ERP/MRP skills
Ideally, you will be physically fit to be able to climb into containers for shipping to conduct quality investigations and to ensure stock and raw materials are correctly stored and allocated within the warehouse and DC
You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
