Manage the ONCS Pretoria operations team, consisting of supervisors, warehouse assistants and drivers.
• Effective set delivery execution planning in line with elective surgery and trauma requirements.
• Reverse logistics optimisation to improve set turnaround time and utilisation (set collection).
• Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning tasks to employees and managing required performance outputs.
• Maintain transparent delivery and planning communication, both internally and externally.
• Delivery and set collection consolidation where possible (this should reduce running costs).
• Increased set utilisation (ensure sets are collected and replenished within the required timeframe).
• Control logistics spend, i.e., reduction in overnight requirements and emergency deliveries.
• Support the inventory management and procurement effort by timeously confirming product usages, reporting broken instrumentation and highlighting minimum inventory levels.
• Maintain service delivery performance, whilst minimising operational overtime.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, in line with ISO requirements, whilst enhancing service delivery output.
• Manage Company distribution fleet, ensuring optimal availability of roadworthy and serviced vehicles. Immediately report any incidents and accidents to the relevant parties.
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (on-time delivery performance, set utilisation, etc.)
• Accurate delivery documentation (debrief) management.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies.
• Monitor the quality of service provided to our customers and business units (internal).
• Maintain physical condition of the planning and dispatch areas by planning and implementing required maintenance in line with ISO requirements and health and safety standards.
• Support Inland Operations Manager and stand-in when not available.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintain operations team’s skills, with the support of the human capital department, by orientating and training employees when required.
• Team performance management through formal appraisals, coaching and guidance where required.
• Manage operational expenditure in line with approved operational budget.
• Support digital project implementation and roll-out (when applicable).

Minimum qualification requirements:
• BCom Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or similar.
Minimum experience required:
• Minimum 5 – 8 years Logistics or Supply Chain Management experience within Pharmaceutical / Medical Industry.
• Proven experience in Orthopaedics and trauma non-negotiable
• Advanced Excel and SAP knowledge is a MUST.
• Experience with managing a large team.
• Proven work experience as a Logistics Manager.
• Sound budgeting and financial experience essential.
