What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the Automotive Manufacturing sector. All duties would take place in this context.

*  Manage Just-in-sequence Logistics Process

*  Optimise and continuously improve logistics processes

*  Inventory Control

*  Build and maintain relationships with transport companies

*  Route Optimisation

Key Job Deliverables:

*  Ensure the right item is delivered at the right time

*  Prevent losses and theft

*  Ensure customer satisfaction

Background work experience:

*  5 years Automotive Tier 1 - Just-in-sequence Logistics

*  3 years Continuous Improvement of Logistics Process

*  3 years Complex Logistical Planning

*  3 years Theft and Loss Prevention

*  Degree in Logistics or equivalent

*  Automotive Logistics

*  Managing the entire logistics process of an Automotive Tier 1 supplier and keeping OEMs happy

*  Apply Lean and related disciplines to continuously improve and optimise the logistics operation

*  Managing logistics to the OEMs and sub-assemblers to ensure parts are delivered on-time and in-sequence

*  Ensuring the necessary controls to prevent theft of parts

*  Advantageous: Specific experience dealing with Ford

Personality Summary:

* High Administrative - Good with procedures, processes and best practices.

* Moderate Analytical - Strong with analysis, metrics, data and fact based decision making.

Salary: Market Related. In the Range of R240K to R600K per annum. Highly exceptional more senior candidates may be considered.
